Welcome to the Yoga by Bharat. Let me introduce myself first, my name is Bharat. I live in Panchkula, India. I am teaching Yoga since 2018. I started learning yoga in 2016 for myself due to stress & anxiety issues and I loved practicing Yoga so much that I left my father’s steel pipes business, developed interest in our ancient Indian science and started learning & practicing the core of Yoga. Sunrise & sunset are the most beneficial time, but the best time is whatever suits your schedule, being regular and practicing on same time is more important.
No, Yoga is best practiced on empty stomach. Minimum 3 hours gap after heavy meal or 2 hours gap after light meal or 1 hour gap after portion of any fruit.
Yes, as Yoga increases body strength & agility, manages stress & diet, curb emotional eating, & makes our Willpower strong & aligns our body & mind all of which leads to weight loss and maintenance. Many types of Yoga sessions help burn calories as well.
- Anti-skid and sweat absorbent are preferable and should not scrape off top layer of the mat easily.
- 4-6mm thickness mats are great for stability and balance & correct alignment of the body.
- Avoid 8mm + thickness mat as our feet pushes into the mat making them unstable for balance poses and they are not good for wrist either.
- 8mm+ thick mats are recommended for seniors or people with joint pains.
- 4mm mats are great for Advance practitioners.
- Don’t think much, your experience on the mat will be your best guide.
Any comfortable, stretchable & breathable type of clothes are best wear for Yoga class.
5 Sessions of 1 hour are sufficient in a week. Rest Every individual’s strength & stamina are different, so listen to your body, enjoy the practice, keep challenging yourself but don’t overdo. Other days we should engage in jogging etc or any outdoor activity with family & enjoy together. And must practice 30min of pranayama alone in peaceful surrounding and do self-asana practice which you learned in the week, this increases self-discipline and self-awareness of our postures and alignment.
